How many of you will be affected if the tea baggers get their way, with the elimination of Pell Grants, Student loans, privatization of Police, Fire departments, Water and all the things humans need to survive? Or how many of you would be affected when this country is taken over by foreigner considering the Tea Party is accepting money from foreign companies and countries who want to influence our political process.? Or, gee even what do you expect the poor to eat? oops, sorry forgot, I know your answer. “let them eat cake”

I’ve been trying to look for student loans that best suits me. I’m in need of tuition money for next month and everyone seems to suggest sallie mae. I’ve noticed that a lot of the online applications ask employment info. I have been a full time student all my life and never worked because my mother wanted me to prioritize education. I really want to help my mom out and not have to pay so much for my tuition so hence the reason why I am applying for a loan. I can’t seem to move on in the application without putting any employment information. I’ve researched here on yahoo answers and people say I don’t need a job history but I still can’t finish the application without it. Please help I am kind of new to this loan thing..just doing this to help my mom out. Thanks in advance and I am also not eligible for financial aid either for those who will suggest that.
Wow, that’s really frustrating. Everyone suggests Sallie Mae because it’s a federal lender, so their rates tend to be lower, but private loan companies may be more lenient with the employment information thing. Is your mom willing to cosign on a loan? If you’re not employed, but your consigner is, your chances of getting approved are much higher. The company I represent, http://www.tuitionbids.com, allows you to fill out one application that is viewed by up to six different lenders. The idea is that if six accredited banks are bidding for your business, you’re more likely to get approved and get a decent rate. Just another option to think about.

I’m currently preparing to start my second year of grad school. I recently received a bill due August 19, 2009 for my fall semester tuition, but I noticed my student loans had not been incorporated into it.
Upon a quick check, I realized I had not gone to the Citibank (my loan provider) website and filed another application (I thought I’d receive e-mails or letters telling me I needed to do so, but I did not). They still had my master promissory note on file from last year so I didn’t need to fill out anything new, they just renewed it I suppose.
How long will it take to process this loan and get it to my school? Will it be there in time for the August 19th due date? I did all of this today, August 11.
I would talk to your school councilor or school financial aid office…
my loan will not arrive on time for my due date this year, but because my school sees that I’ve filed for the loan and have been approved they are not going to bill me….
